Kroc Center Hawaii is currently seeking Maintenance Techs to work in our Facilities Department. Interested applicants may submit a cover letter and resume to or fax (808-682-5501). Please include your name and the job title you are applying for on the subject line of your email. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Perform basic routine and emergency repairs to designated facility plumbing, electrical, structural, and mechanical systems as required. 2. Responsible for all facilities equipment. Inspect chillers and generator. Perform preventive maintenance program on designated facility. 3. Complete all work orders and PM's as assigned and annotation and updating of work logs for specific site requirements. 4. Assist in identifying projects requiring the services of an outside contractor; assist in obtaining quotes and arranging for services of outside vendors as directed by Facilities Manager. 5. Check all lighting to make sure they work or replace when necessary. 6. Maintain pool equipment and water quality. Maintain aquatics systems and equipment. 7. Update MSDS as required. 8. Assist in maintaining designated properties in compliance with applicable local, state and company rules, codes and regulations. 9. Report mechanical malfunctions to the appropriate party for action. 10. Prepares site for special events/trainings (sets up and takes down furniture and equipment for a variety of internal and community events);Assist in moving furniture and equipment at both facilities/sites setting security alarms and responding to alarm calls during and after regular work hours, and maintaining clean, safe, and orderly work sites. Performs routine inspection of facilities to check for maintenance issues in all areas to ensure proper working order; 11. Troubleshoots and completes minor miscellaneous repairs; replaces light bulbs and ballasts; performs minor electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs as may be required; 12. Identify and schedule projects needed to be serviced by outside contractors. 13. Follows oral and written instructions while communicating with Program Supervisors and Staff. 14. Follow and ensure adherence to The Salvation Army Policies and Procedures. 15. Maintain the Code of Ethics policy, which has been established for the Kroc Center Hawaii. 16. Attend staff meetings and other administrative meetings. 17. Maintain regular and punctual work attendance. 18. Perform other duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1. High School diploma or GED equivalent required. 2. Minimum of one year experience performing light maintenance. Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.
