Duties & Responsibilities: -Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival. -When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party. -Provide guests with estimated waiting time. -Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. -Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations. -Upon seating, offer guests a menu. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness. -Relay messages to servers and server assistants as needed. -Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. -Take reservations when there is no reservationist. -Complete all opening and closing side work as assigned by management. -Recognize regular guests and their seating preferences. -Effectively use the OpenTable reservation system. -Provide the anchor with accurate and frequent updated regarding the status of tables. -Offer to take and retrieve coats and baggage to be checked. -Offer to carry guests' drinks to their table from the bar area.
