To apply, email your resume to: Summary of Position: Deliver food to guests in an efficient gracious manner, assist chef with expediting and organizing food orders, be responsive to guests' and servers' needs. Duties & Responsibilities: • Run food as directed by expediting chef. • Read and organize tickets, handle firing of tickets, and expedite & delegate running of food to other food runners and servers. • Know the composition of each dish on the menu. • Know which station is preparing which dishes for every shift. • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services. • Deliver food from kitchen to guests in a timely matter. • Serve open-handed and describe 3 components of each dish served. • Be able to carry 3 plates gracefully. • Perform tableside service as needed. • Prepare the line for service at the beginning of every shift. • Maintain the cleanliness of and stock the line during the shift. • Clean the line & leave in sanitary and organized manner at the end of every shift. • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by station assignment. • Maintain clean service areas. • Be ready and willing to assist fellow expeditors, food runners, and servers as situations arise. • Be ready and willing to assist the server assistants with clearing and resetting tables. • Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return. • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor. Qualifications: • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests. • Must have an advanced knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions. • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to compile multiple food orders. • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours). • Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds. • Have previous fine dining experience.
