Kwik Plumbing and Heating Inc. 401-588-9794 Carbon Monoxide Detection General Living Space Detection: $75.00 We are a family owned and operated company with 3 generations of experience. We offer the most competitive prices in the state of Rhode Island and always offer top of the line service. We are a small company with little overhead so we can offer you great prices. We can handle anything from a small job to Industrial or Commercial. We also are sub contracted by the city of Cranston to do all the Sewer main drain cleanings for the entire city of Cranston. We have all types of equipment to suit any type of job. We have a camera machine that can make a dvd recording of the interior of your sewer main as well as locate the head of the camera so we can locate your problems exact spot down to the inch. We have a UEI Carbon Monoxide Detector which can tell us how many Parts Per Million of Carbon Monoxide you have in your house. We can use our meter to try to narrow down where it is coming from. The more PPM the meter reads the closer we are to the problem. In most cases it is your heating equipment that is causing this which we would be able to fix. For the most part it is usually your Boiler, Water heater or Space heater that causing this. Also another thing that could cause this is faulty Flue piping coming from your heating equipment or water heating equipment. This is the metal pipe that is disposing of the flue gases that are coming from your equipment. If your pipe is corroding in any way or if you do not have enough draft pulling these gases out through the chimney then they can easily leak into your living space which VERY DANGEROUS. As you have seen on the news lately Carbon Monoxide is VERY DANGEROUS so this is no joke. If you think that you have a Carbon Monoxide problem do not wait until it is too late to act on it. This is not a simple water leak or something similar this is a LIFE THREATENING ISSUE! This is a silent killer which usually kills people in there sleep. As this gas fills up your living space you breathe it in which depending on how severe the leak is it will certainly kill you. Carbon Monoxide Detection Just to detect the living space with our UEI detector and try to narrow down where the carbon monoxide is coming from . We will not always be able to tell you the source of the carbon monoxide but we can tell you the severity of the problem. Also we would be able to tell you which area of the house has the highest levels which in turn would most likely give us an idea of what could be causing the problem. By telling you the severity of the problem through out the house we would be able to let you know if the living space is even safe to be in which could prevent your or a family member from getting sick or even death. General Carbon Monoxide Test: $75.00 If any repairs are required to fix the issue it would be completely separate from the cost of this Carbon monoxide detection. We would be able to give you a free estimate on all repairs that need to be done. Symptoms of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning which can be similar to food poisoning or the flu but unlike those Carbon Monoxide will not give you a fever. Symptoms: •dizziness and nausea (feeling sick) •vomiting (being sick) •tiredness and confusion •stomach pain •shortness of breath and difficulty breathing For more information of the Symptoms please go to the following URL: Don't wait until its too late to have this checked out in your home. Imagine if all it took was a simple $75 Carbon Monoxide Detection to prevent a loved one from senselessly being killed. This is a very real problem that happens every day. Another common issue is home owners trying to install plumbing and heating equipment and doing it incorrectly which is also VERY DANGEROUS! If this equipment is installed incorrectly it can do the same thing. For example: If the flue piping from a boiler or water heater is either undersized or does not have the correct pitch it would cause flue gases to leak out of the piping into the basement. Also if the draft has not been checked out and there is insufficient draft or even back draft then this would also cause Carbon Monoxide to enter the basement. Kwik Plumbing and Heating Inc.
