Job Description Job Overview Job Title: CLASSROOM WORKSHOP FACILITATOR/INSTRUCTOR Job Type: Part-Time Company: HEI America, () Location: US-TX-Dallas-Fort Worth-Burleson-Cedar Hill-Arlington Supervisory: No Travel Req'd: Yes Immediate Need Classroom and Workshop Facilitator The classroom and workshop facilitator possesses expertise in presenting and holding group discussions. The Instructor will indulge participants/students in learning and discussing life and character building skills. The facilitator will be accommodated with curriculum and outline to deliver content. Small groups are guided by the facilitator for the efficient and effective development and achievement of individual and group-proposed objectives. The facilitator must possess the fortitude to cultivate an atmosphere of mutual respect between the participants/students. Classroom and Workshop Facilitator's Responsibilities The Instructor/Facilitator will manage communications among participants/students, and assure participation and effective delivery. Facilitators/Instructors are keen observers of behavior, interpreters of non-verbal language, engaged listeners, possessors of an innate sensitivity to unspoken needs and acutely attuned to gauging the physical and emotional comfort of all participants/students with accuracy. Facilitators prepare clean, proofread and organized copies of material, prepare their notes, make arrangements for the use of multimedia and equipment, designate and enforce the allotted time for every activity, create an excellent closing to ensure effectiveness. Prepare in advance surveys and feedback material (support and expectations will be provided). Facilitator will be trained on workshop content by NPO, HEI America. Classroom and Workshop Facilitator's Skills Facilitator/Instructor needs to have experience as a presenter, speaker, community person, or related job experience. Facilitator/Instructor should be able to assess the performance of the participants, tailoring the participation to correct weaknesses and adjusting the pace of the workshop. Facilitators/Instructor should be ready to discuss historical developments of workshop, history of HEI America, fundamental theories that relate to student situations and current challenges. Facilitator/Instructor will collaborate and create an interactive environment rich in dialogue, fueled by the comparative and contrasting experience of the participants. Classroom and Workshop Facilitator's Attitude and Behaviors Characteristic of facilitator/instructor are their inherent gift of motivation, encouragement and enthusiasm. HEI wants to ensure that using the mentioned skills and talent, that the facilitator will maximize the level of involvement of the students. Facilitator/Instructor should possess a cultivated confidence and communicate with clarity, which positively influences the small group by under-girding it with enthusiasm and vibrancy. Facilitator/Instructor incorporates the art of storytelling and conveys subtle and overt yet respectful and witty humor into their workshops. Qualifications: - Accredited College Credits, or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency); Texas Driver License. - Six months experience working with children, in a community setting. - Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. - Demonstrated general knowledge of child growth/development and behavior characteristics. - Demonstrated ability to work with people from diverse ethnic groups. - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills a must. - Computer literacy and teaching experience desired.
