Tool & Die Repair Technician I Plastics Injection Operation

(Probable "off shift" 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift)
Non-exempt hourly "bargaining unit" position (Eligible for 1.5 overtime after 40 hours and double time on Sundays & Holidays).
Pay $26.50 per hour (shift differential $.20 2nd shift; $.25 3rd shift)
Candidates must complete on-line skills assessment on site (administered via 3rd party agency)

Essential Functions
Disassembly and assembly of molds.
Repair, modify and or adjust molds.
Examine molds to determine feasibility of in-house repairs or modifications.
Transport molds to tooling working area.
Diagnosing problems and determining corrective actions.
Polishing, benching, spotting, grinding, drilling, machining, fitting, and welding.
Insure molds are in good and proper mechanical working order.
Perform preventive mold maintenance by following the preventive maintenance check list.
Perform quality work.
Maintain clean work area.
Performing miscellaneous administrative duties incidental to the job.
Performing all assigned tasks to ensure continuity of production and safety of all personnel.
Qualifications & Experience:
Basic welding concepts (TIG).
Welding the parting line (TIG).
Spot parting line.
Hot Runner wiring.
Trim Tool knowledge.
Advanced blue-print reading.
Basic CAD concepts.
Hand working grain repair.
Spot lifters, cores, and slides.
Cut threads ID / OD.
Cut internal o-ring grove.
Grind cutting tools.
Cutting nozzle tips.
Cutting tapers.
Use of boring head.
Calculate & set-up and cut bolt pattern.
Set up & run rotary table.
Use of trigonometry sine plate.
Grind compound angles and using a sine plate.
Education / Experience
Vocational (or technical related ) Training Certificate and/or Associates Degree required.
5+ years prior Tool & Die Repair experience.
Prior experience in repairing plastic injection or die cast molding tools.

Must be able to communicate in English written and verbal.
Ability to work well with others, team oriented, and ability to work independently without close supervision.
Job stable work history essential. Must be US Citizens or current holder of a VISA that does not require any form of sponsorship
