Production Supervisor – Plastics Injection and Assembly Operation

(Might be "off shift" - 2nd or 3rd shift)
Target salary range = 52-56k. Position eligible for straight time overtime after 45 hrs. within work week.

Essential Functions
• Supports and promotes plant Guiding Principles and the Quality Policy;
• Assures housekeeping standards are met.
• Creates and maintains an environment for a safe and healthy workforce;
• Maintains and monitors QS-9000/TS16949 quality systems for assigned shift;
• Maintains and monitors ISO14001 environmental systems for assigned shift;
• Manages, motivates, and leads subordinates;
• Empowers with the ability to stop the flow of production to correct quality issues;
• Analyzes production schedules and estimates labor requirements for completion of job assignment;
• Monitor and verify the takt boards are being properly filled out and maintained;
• Implements general safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations;
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders for workers and assigns duties;
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules;
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, safe working conditions, and quality of product;
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew;
• Fosters a good working relationship with the Union;
• Analyzes, initiates, and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems;
• Confers with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments;
• Performs activities of workers supervised;
• Assists in training of employees, specifically BCOT (Basic Certified Operator Training);
• Attend and Lead meetings as required;
• Any other duties assigned by Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager.
• Must be willing and able to work required overtime to support production requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred;
• High School Diploma or GED required;
• 3-5 years experience in a similar role - preferably within a Tier I or Tier II automotive manufacturing environment;
• ISO 14001 Orientation/ Awareness Training;
• ISO 14001 Spill/ Disposal Training;
• TS 16949 Orientation / Awareness Training;
• Ability to work ANY shift and weekends.
