CATERING DIRECTOR THE FORGE RESTAURANT I WINE BAR is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated individual to be a part of our team in MIAMI BEACH. Candidate will have the opportunity to work for one of America's top fine dinning restaurants. For 45 years, The Forge has built a reputation of quality exclusive private dining, with impeccable service and cuisine. Our employees are the core of our team and we expect the best of the best from them from booking an exclusive wine dinner for 12 guests or a corporate seated dinner for 200 to a full restaurant buyout for 700. We value dedication, attention to detail, professionalism and a great attitude. We are currently looking for a Catering Director who realizes the most important elements of a successful business include building relationships with customers with exceptional follow though and communication. The ideal candidate needs to be a highly self-motivated individual with essential fine dining experience, wine knowledge and must have proven sales in the hospitality and catering industry. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision is a must. The Catering Director is specifically responsible for maintaining standards of sales operations in the following areas: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales department, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals; 1. Book group events in the various rooms that include but are not limited to the Wine Cellar, Board Room, East Room, Library and thoughout various areas of the restaurant. 2. Enter bookings into open table. 3. Seek out and target new customers and new sales opportunities, initiate action plan to approach and secure new business for the company. 4. Maintain established business relationships with clients and partnerships. 5. Follow up and service bookings / submit confirmation in return in a timely manner. 6. At completion of functions, follow up with client for possible future business. 7. Maintain timely and effective communication with operations and marketing regarding events / functions. Daily and weekly BEO meetings along with weekly sales / activity reports. 8. Responsible to submit weekly sales and activity reports. 9. Responsible to meet established sales goals. 10. Responsible to meet established weekly sales calls and appointments. 11. Tour guests and site inspections of property. 12. Follow through with contracts making sure all clients forms have been filled out correctly. 13. Follow through with marketing and incentives created by The Marketing and Public Relations Department. 14. Must be extremely punctual and be able to meet client and corporate deadlines. 15. Must have great penmanship. 16. Have computer skills including Word, Excel, Reserve 17. Ideal candidate will be extremely focused and posses excellent organizational skills. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Minimum five years sales experience in the Hospitality/Catering industry. 2. Computer skills (word processing and spreadsheets) including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, reserve, Open Table and other catering software. 3. Excellent written communication, verbal communication and organizational skills. 4. Ability to work extended hours including nights and weekends, as needed. 5. Must have a valid driver's license
