Wage is negotiated as part of the hiring process and is based on relevant Experience. Russo Corporation is an EOE M/F/V/D. Commercial / Industrial Construction Payroll Clerk: 5 plus years experience working as in Payroll Administration; experience in the construction industry required. Experience with large payrolls, 250 plus employees. Experience with 940's, 941's and Multistate tax reporting. Experience with the Davis Bacon Act and Certified Payrolls. Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements. Experience with E-verify and excellent computer skills required; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and payroll entry required. Experience with Spectrum, Timberline or other construction financial software and Accounts Payable a plus. Extended periods of sitting and working on a computer. Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data. Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers. Prepares reports and reconciliations by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages, and is involved with the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closings. Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, workers compensation payments, and associated union payment liabilities. Provides notification of any payroll discrepancies to appropriate personnel, and resolves any discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. Provides payroll information to appropriate parties by answering questions and requests. Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. Works with external auditors and governmental agencies during any audits and information requests. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential. Work with project managers, superintendents, and other associated personnel to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws; and associated contracts. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. All employees must adhere to federal and company safety protocol. All employees must work in a drug-free environment.
