Zavino is hiring for all positions at our University City location. If you have any interest please apply with an attached resume to or attend our employee open house SATURDAY 1/4/13 from 10am to 4pm at our 32nd and Chestnut Street location. Available Positions: Host - A host/hostess welcomes and entertains guests in a warm, friendly manner to provide a positive first impression of service. He/She will work with team members to deliver a unique experience. Server - Minimum of 2 years experience required. A server gives each guest a genuine, personalized dining experience while also providing efficient service in a timely fashion. Bartender - Minimum 2 years experience required. A bartender provides each guest with courteous and rapid service while making drinks and serving food in a responsible manner for guests and the entire restaurant. Bar Back - Supports the bartenders during their shift. Stocks the bar with liquor, wine, beer, ice, an any other items they may need throughout the night. Food Runner - Ensures that the correct food reaches the guests table in a timely fashion and is visually appealing. Works closely with the expeditor. Busser - A busser ensures that the dining room and service areas are clean, stocked, and visually appealing. He/she works with managers to provide the smooth operation of the restaurant. Line Cook - Minimum 3 years experience required. Applicants must have worked in a high volume kitchen before. A line cook follows standardized recipes when preparing orders. He/she will cook pasta, sauté, and grill while following the proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Pizzalo - Minimum of 3 years experience required. Applicants must have work in a high volume pizza kitchen before. Must be familiar with making, cutting, and shaping dough. Responsible for cooking pizzas. Garde Manger - Minimum of 3 years experience required. Applicants must work in a high volume kitchen before. Must be familiar with a manual slicer. Responsible for charcuterie, salads, vegetables, and desserts. Prep Cook / Dishwasher - Minimum of 2 years experience required. A prep cook prepares food items necessary to meet daily business needs by thawing, portioning, baking, and preparing produce and proteins. He/she cooks by following standardized recipes. A dishwasher cleans dining items and all restaurant areas to provide a sanitized and visually pleasing restaurant to guests and to team members. He/she works to provide a safe and hazard-free work environment.
