SEND RESUMES TO Quality Control Technician - Precast Concrete Plant Under the direction of the QC Manager, the QC Technician is responsible for performing QC samples, tests and other inspections (ie. pre-pour and post-pour inspections) in compliance with the requirements of the NPCA Plant Certification Program and any other required quality control programs. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Takes all concrete samples and performs tests required by NPCA Plant Certification Program and any other project specific QC requirements. * Conduct all pre-pour and post-pour inspections as required by NPCA Plant Certification Program and other quality control programs. * Maintains all appropriate records regarding the Company's QC Program, including daily records of all batched concrete. * Have the ability to instruct all employees on the proper methods and/or procedures required should quality problems arise. * Have the ability to train employees as well as oversee all repairs required to produce a quality product. * Conduct random inspections on materials, products and processes as required by quality control program. * Participate as member of QC Review Committee. * Other related duties as required. . REQUIREMENTS: * Knowledge of and dedication to quality control principles and standards * ACI Concrete Field Technician Level 1 certification or higher helpful. * Attention to detail and ability to follow through without direct and constant supervision * Mechanical knowledge and abilities. * Operational knowledge of batch plants, mixers and automation systems. * Excellent customer service ability. * Good organizational and planning skills. * Adaptability and flexibility to be able to adjust to continuous change. * Management and leadership skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Some walking, balancing, standing, turning, climbing, stooping, crouching, and reaching. * Some lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of 35-50 lbs. * Physically capable of performing maintenance/mechanical activities for a sustained period of 8-10 hours per day. * Indoor and outdoor work, Monday through Friday, with some overtime work required including some Saturdays. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: * Required to wear a hard hat, steel-toed boots and safety glasses while working in our plant and in the yard. * Gloves, ear plugs and respirators as needed.
