Position: Maintenance Reports to: General Manager and/or Facilities Manager View the hotel at: www.staymukilteo.com ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain and repair all equipment in all areas including storage rooms, laundry, kitchen, guest rooms, convention areas, and public space. Repair refrigeration, plumbing and electrical fixtures in all areas including storage rooms, guest rooms, kitchen or laundry to manufacturers' or company specifications. * Communicate parts and materials needs to appropriate supervisory personnel in a timely manner. * Keep all storage and maintenance areas and contents clean, organized and secured. * Maintain and repair carpet, wall covering, furniture, painted surfaces, change burned out light bulbs and other cosmetic repairs in all areas. * Adhere to all work order policies and procedures. * Routinely inform supervisory personnel of job and project status. * Develop, repair, and maintain all areas of landscape including sprinkler systems, tree/shrub cultural practices (ie. proper watering, planting, fertilization, pruning mowing etc.) pesticide application. * Maintain the physical plant and aesthetic beauty of the hotel property including sweeping curbing, entrances and sidewalks, emptying exterior trash containers, snow/ice and debris removal, and replacement/operation of exterior lighting. * General cleaning of all exterior surfaces. * Maintain operation, proper functioning and proper recording of all systems at the hotel including pool systems, spa systems, security cameras systems etc. * Report any mechanical problems to supervisor or manager. * Have knowledge of activities in the hotel. * Attend all mandatory meetings. * Complete other duties assigned by supervisor to include cross training. * Report all unsafe conditions immediately. * A complete job description is available at the time of the interview. Qualifications: * Prior experience preferred in a commercial maintenance environment. * Working knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical light carpentry, and painting preferred. * Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other team members. * Must have a valid drivers license in good standing and pass a criminal background check. * No employee will pose a threat to the health/safety of self or others.
