(CLO) is a personal and life skills instruction agency that provides services to people with developmental disabilities. We assist adults with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes by helping them gain the skills necessary to maintain their independence. Each client has individualized life skills objectives which might include (but are not limited to) learning to cook, clean, budget, go to doctor appointments, access public transportation, do laundry, and/or grocery shop, to name a few. Some of our consumers require more physical assistance with the above stated life skills and personal care. All of our consumers live out in the community and must learn the importance of personal safety, as well as emergency protocol. To qualify for this position you must have experience working with people with disabilities (or equivalent training), a current driver license, proof of good driving record, proof of auto insurance, reliable transportation, clear a federal/criminal background check, and TB health clearance. A high school diploma is required, but additional education is encouraged. Availability to work flexible hours and good writing skills are mandatory. Although not a requirement, people who are bi-lingual or know American Sign Language are absolutely encouraged to apply.
