Technical Process Plater (85281 -- Tempe, AZ) Gold Tech Industries www.goldtechind.com Fax: 480-921-2072 Email: JOB SUMMARY Gold Tech is a Mil-Spec, Nadcap accredited, medium-sized plating facility seeking an experienced Plater/Plating Technician. Position will require working knowledge in processing industrial electro-chemicals such as electroless nickel, electrolytic nickel, copper, silver, gold, tin, tin-lead, chrome, chemical conversion coatings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Accurately follow written instruction from job routers and verbal direction from the team lead to complete various plating tasks and assignments. • Exhibit competency in the proper methods for degreasing, cleaning, prepping, and activating parts to be processed. • Familiarity with wet titration for Electroless Nickel chemical add backs • Calculate the of area of parts to be plated (Rack and Barrel plating) • Have the ability to read and understand drawings and specifications. • Know the industry best practices for handling customer parts. QUALIFICATIONS • A high school diploma and a minimum of five years' experience in an electro-plating job shop or chemical vendor technical service department. • Knowledge of environmental and safety practices, including (but not limited to) state (ADEQ and ADOSH) and federal (EPA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) regulations are a plus. • Knowledge in basic chemicals (acids, base, and pH) • Ability to work with little supervision • Ability to help troubleshoot plating line when problem arises • A moderate-level working knowledge of plating specifications. • Strong teaming, cross-functional and interpersonal skills. • Ability to read, and understand common technical documents related to production plating. • Must be detail-oriented, high energy, self-starter. PHYSICAL DEMANDS • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop. • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception. • Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. • Working environments include lab and production plating.
