$55,000 - $60,000 annually Interested Candidates should forward resumes to the following email address: GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for the implementation, coordination, and management of cost-effective Walk events to meet budgeted goals, through building a robust volunteer base of community leaders, corporate partners, and victim survivors to raise awareness and meet financial goals. The majority of performance is based on volunteer management and development, event production and aggressive revenue generation. These Walks will be built according to Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Walk Like MADD standards with special attention to working within the established branding and marketing guidelines. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: 1. Achieve corporate and individual Walk revenue goals, from one or more events, totaling a minimum of $100,000 to 150,000 in year 1, $200,000 to 250,000 in year 2 and $300,000 to 350,000 in year 3, with sustained growth in following years, while managing within an expense budget of 15%. 2. Build, sustain, support and manage an effective volunteer base to achieve event revenue goals and enhance public awareness. 3. Implement, execute, evaluate and revise as needed, ongoing community outreach strategies and year-round team recruitment and cultivation programs. 4. Work closely with each Walk Chair to ensure that strong committee structures are in place. Attend Committee and Captain meetings regularly and consistently. 5. Motivate and empower volunteer leaders to organize, direct and coordinate fund-raising activities 6. Train volunteer leaders to utilize their community networks to recruit additional volunteers and implement a strong succession plan for committee members. 7. Through volunteer event committees and volunteer networks, accomplish the following: a. Increase recruitment of new teams and participants, retention of past teams and participants, and overall team revenue. b. Solicit and increase sponsorship revenue. c. Work directly with companies and individuals to assist them in setting their goals and maximizing revenues. d. Establish sustainable relationships with media partners to help publicize the mission and event, while also securing media sponsorships both in kind and cash. e. Secure in-kind donations to reduce costs and increase community involvement and engagement. 8. Manage an online fundraising website to promote the event, support individual fundraising, and generate reports. 9. Work within the current branding and marketing guidelines established by the National Office. 10. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all activities and ensure that required reports are properly prepared and submitted to the National Office. 11. Track and analyze timelines and benchmarks to determine true event and donor engagement towards meeting overall goals. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Required minimum 3 years of experience in walk and/or participation event fundraising with demonstrated skill set and confidence in asking people to contribute time and money. 2. Self-starter with drive, motivation and proven history of reaching/exceeding revenue goals 3. Strong volunteer recruitment, training and management experience 4. Working experience in Blackbaud software systems and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 5. Capable of building and sustaining relationships with a variety of individuals and businesses 6. Significant skills in event production and management 7. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as necessary 8. Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to conduct effective presentations with respect to the needs of the audience 9. Professional appearance and demeanor 10. Flexible and adaptable with the ability to maintain composure in an environment of changing priorities 11. Excellent organizational and detail oriented skills. Must be able to work well under pressure. 12. Reliable transportation and valid state driver's license. Must be able to travel up to 50%.
