To apply, email your resume to: Or apply with your mobile phone. Can you manage a project with attention to the small details? Can you be both hands on and the person in charge? Have you learned how to get out ahead of problems by anticipating what might become one? Are you a seasoned Excel user with more than the basic functions under your command? We need a Project Foreman capable of handling these multiple roles--leading a crew as well as occasionally getting in and doing the onsite work! This specific project we need you for today is estimated to last about 6 months but likely we'll have another project on the heels of this one where your skills will be useful. The onsite work will be in San Francisco and offsite in or near West Oakland. You MUST: Have demonstrable computer and phone skills--we don't have time to train you on this part! Have mechanical aptitude--this project requires retrofitting metal parts that need to fit and work together. Be insurable to drive a company vehicle from time to time as necessary AND have a personal vehicle to get from the onsite to the offsite locations other times. Be able to commit to the estimated 6-month project duration with minimal M-F work days off (project estimated to begin in early November). Be comfortable on ladders and/or scaffolding, around heavy equipment, and occasionally using power equipment. Be able to ramp up quickly. It would help or make you an even more attractive candidate if you: Have a BA in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or some similar relevant construction-centric degree. Have extensive project management and/or project engineer experience--especially if you don't have the BA cited above. Be prepared to discuss your experience on specific projects in detail. Have been through hazmat safety training and/or you are EPA certified (lead certified). Have residential and/or commercial construction skills. A sense for metallurgy. Have some experience with doors and windows, glazing, and perhaps window hardware (though don't rule yourself out if you have everything else we need and can make a viable case for yourself).
