This sweet dog needs a home, and is currently being fostered by: HEROES K9 RESCUE Please contact: Hi there!! This wonderfully sweet dog was rescued just hours before she was scheduled to be euthanized at a "high kill" animal shelter. The only reason they were going to put her to sleep is because of over-crowding at the shelter. This poor girl has had a rough life. She was starved and severely neglected by her former owners. She had painful infection in her ears and skin, and she was skin-and-bones. But she is safe in a foster home now, and we got her to be healthy again. Now she is ready for her new home, and for the next chapter in her life! She is a very gentle dog, she is SO sweet, she absolutely loves to cuddle. She also likes to stick her head under your hand as if to say, "Please keep petting me!" In spite of her past, she has a lot of love to give. Will you be the person who will show her that life can be wonderful? Because she clearly has never had that, before. We are not sure of her breed, or her age. But we (and our vet) think she is about 5 years old. (Dogs her size generally live to be about 14 years old.) She is the perfect medium size. She weighs about 45 lbs, so she's not too big and not too small! This sweet girl has spent some time in the foster home, so now she is house-broken (she's trained to only "go" outside), and she is now crate-trained (in fact, she really loves her crate!). She is well-mannered, gentle, and loving. She is great with other dogs, so if you have a dog who needs a friend, she'd be perfect! She also would be great in a home with kids (however, we only adopt to homes that have children who are 7 years old or older). We already got her spayed and vaccinated, and we are asking a small adoption fee of $100. (This money helps us pay for the costs that we spend on our foster dogs.) If you are interested, please e-mail us at . We will ask you to complete a short application. Thank you so much for considering a rescued dog as your new best friend! (Please type: "Rescued dog who needs a home" in the subject line of your e-mail, so that we know you're not spam.) Thanks so much!
