To apply, email your resume to: Growth & Learning Opportunities (GLO) is a non-profit organization providing quality before and after-school programming to school age children at six school sites located throughout San Francisco, is seeking a strong, dependable, and extremely detailed oriented candidate to fill the Human Resources Generalist position. Under the supervision of the Director of HR & Finance, the Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and day to day tasks of the human resources department. This position may be asked to perform other related duties as required and assigned by the Director of HR & Finance. Performance will be evaluated in the following objective areas: *Payroll Administration *Benefits Administration *Recruitment *Performance Evaluations *Professional Development and Training Event Planning *Employee Relations *Human Resources Administration *Professionalism . The Administrative Office is located at: 633 Taraval Street, Suite 103 San Francisco, CA 94116 HIGHLIGHTED RESPONSIBILITIES: Payroll: *Process biweekly payroll batches using ADP Time and Attendance and Pay Expert and submit for approval. *Review first level exceptions in payroll processing procedures. *Maintain payroll processing schedule. *Set up new hires and maintain administration within payroll system. Benefits Administration: *Administer benefits to eligible employees during open enrollment. *Monitor new hire eligibility. *Verify accuracy of monthly billing and submit for payment approval. *Manage enrollment of HSA account. *Assist in the administration of employee HRA in accordance with Healthy San Francisco Ordinance. Recruitment: *Maintain communication with program management to identify staffing needs. *Create, edit and post approved job ads. *Screen applicant resumes and forward to appropriate hiring managers. *Follow up on advancement of job applicants. Performance Evaluations: *Administer formal evaluation procedures for organization. *Actively follow up on evaluation process. *Review and update tracking and accountability procedures. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: *Knowledge of and sensitivity to diverse racial/ethnic communities. *Prior experience working in the non-profit sector. *High school diploma and 3 years HR experience, bachelor's degree and two (2) years of Human Resources experience, or similar combination of education and experience. *General working knowledge of Federal and State Labor Law Compliance (OSHA, ADA, FMLA, EDD etc.) *Prior knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, Human Resource Management, State and Federal employment and benefit laws, including COBRA. *ADP payroll experience (Pay Expert). *Computer proficiency with MS Office. *Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. *Strong analytical and problem solving skills; attention to detail. Hours: 40 hours/week to start October 2013. Position opened until filled.
