OPEN CASTING: Intervision Entertainment in conjunction with The Kitchen in Oxnard are teaming up for a brand new Dinner Theater experience. AUDITIONS: Sept 15th, 6pm-9pm @ The Kitchen, in Oxnard (For an appointment please contact ) THE STORY: Time is spring, 1940, Mickey and Worm are best pals and partners in shady deals, gambling and grifting. Mickey is a failed boxer who took a fall for a big payoff. Worm is the brains to Mickey's brawn, but is tired of scraping by for a living and wants a regular job. Maddy, a night club singer is Mickey's long-time moll, but she's got aspirations for Broadway and even a chance to pursue her dream, if she's willing to leave Mickey for Lou, a rich night club owner. Giselle, a seemingly innocent young nightclub singer, is more a femme fatale than anyone suspects and becomes intertwined among them all. Lou has a fortune in cash ripe for the picking and somebody is going to get it; some will be dead, some disappointed and some a whole lot richer. CHARACTERS: MICKEY DONEGAN: Early 30s-40s, big in stature, a failed boxer, now gambler and a grifter trying to capitalize on his prior, tarnished fame. WORM: Early 30s-40s, smaller in stature than Mickey, wears glasses. Smart. The "brains" to Mickey's "brawn". MADELINE "MADDY" BALL: Late 20s-30s, blonde, a good looker. Long time girlfriend of Mickey's She's a night club singer who longs to be on Broadway or in Hollywood. (MUST SING) LOU ATWATER: 30s-50s: A self-made man who owns several nightclubs in just as many cities. GISELLE CAMDEN: Early 20s, dark haired, a good looker, a former church soloist turned night club singer (MUST SING) IMPORTANT: This is NOT a campy show. Be prepared to bring your serious acting skills. We are NOT looking for over-the-top or improv for this...thank you. Saturdays 10am-2pm, Sundays 5pm-9pm, M-W 7-9:30 at The Kitchen in Oxnard. There is a possibility that one or two Mondays might be changed to Fridays depending on actor availability.
