Our client is seeking a Controller in Dayton, OH.

You will be primarily responsible for supervising and performing daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting, financial forecasting and tax compliance functions. In addition, you will be responsible for:

• Supervising staff in the performance of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Service Administration, Sales/Use and Income Tax compliance and General Accounting functions
• Providing primary point of contact for management of the company’s relationship with its bankers, auditors and insurers
• Producing accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial results on a timely basis and with appropriate analyses to enable understanding of key factors driving results
• Managing the annual budget and monthly financial forecast processes
• Maintaining a regular and effective cash monitoring and forecasting process which ensures timely awareness of critical cash requirements and/or surplus to optimize credit and cash positions
• Implementing appropriate credit review and approval procedures for new and existing customers assuring that minimal risk is absorbed by the company when granting credit
• Preparing and/or reviewing all company tax returns and coordinate as needed with the Company’s outside accountants
• Performing special projects as requested by the Chief Financial Officer.

To qualify for this great opportunity, you should have 5+ years of experience in corporate finance and accounting management, a CPA designation and:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Knowledgeable of relevant GAAP accounting rules
• High personal integrity and strong work ethic
• Strong technical accounting and financial analysis aptitude
• MAS 200 experience
• Advanced Excel/MS Access skills with the ability to quickly master other software as needed
• Solid comprehension of IT/database concepts impacting functional applications
• High analytical aptitude with strong critical thinking and creative problem resolution skills
• Demonstrated initiative in identifying and implementing value-added systems and processes
• Effective leadership abilities to include recruiting, training and developing high-performing staff
• Proactive multi-tasker; ability to adapt easily to constantly changing priorities
• Resourceful and knowledgeable of modern methods for accessing and using data from external data sources
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate financial results to non-financial people
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Desire to drive results
