About American Honors: American Honors is a competitive, 2-year college program and bachelor's degree transfer pathway produced by Quad Learning (QL), Inc. in conjunction with Ivy Tech Community College. Since rising college tuition fees can be a challenge for even the brightest, most driven individuals, more students are choosing to start their bachelor's degree at a community college as a value-based alternative to starting at a 4-year institution. By enhancing the quality and lowering the cost of obtaining a top bachelor's degree, American Honors at Ivy Tech helps students maximize the value of their educational investment. We launched a successful American Honors pilot program Spring 2013 and welcomed our Inaugural class this past August. Now we're looking for the next group of students who could benefit from this life-changing program. We've got a great team, a strong mission, and we're focused on putting students first. Summary: The Regional Admissions Counselor is part of QL's Admissions & Marketing team and responsible for designing and executing logistics of the student recruitment plan to meet enrollment targets. As the main point-of-contact for prospective students and community stakeholders, you will work with local high schools, community groups, and students and faculty at Ivy Tech to recruit new students to the American Honors program. Scope: - Create and develop new ways to build the American Honors brand in the community - Build & maintain relationships with local stakeholders (guidance counselors, coaches, church leaders, community groups) - Propose locally relevant advertising and PR opportunities - Maintain relationships with key faculty, administrators, student groups and the admissions and marketing teams at Ivy Tech Community College - Communicate admissions requirements, program specifics, financial aid information, and field other questions from students, faculty, and families - Host informational events & deliver "field pitch" that is tailored to the audience - Follow up with student candidates effectively via phone, email, or 1-to-1 meetings in a timely manner - Develop content for monthly newsletter on cohort progress and new initiatives - Report feedback and data points to QL marketing team in routine reports offering insight from the ground to help inform and evolve future strategy Desired background: - 1+ year of work with college students or college-bound students (K-12 or higher ed institutions), particularly youth/families of various backgrounds - Understanding of community dynamics and demographics - Interest in sales and marketing - Strong communication skills: writing and public speaking - Commitment to reflecting on your practices to make improvements to your work - Willingness to work flexible hours (some evenings, weekends) during the Fall & Spring recruitment cycle - Ability to work as a regional employee, communicating with a team remotely - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Salesforce experience a plus - Conversational Spanish skills are a plus What you'll get from us: - The opportunity to shape a company's brand in the Indiana market - An independent, fast-paced, and stimulating work environment - The opportunity to work across a variety of marketing & admissions initiatives - Competitive wages Note: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by individuals assigned to this position.
