Our client is seeking a “can-do” Operations Manager in Dayton, OH.

You will be primarily responsible for supervising all aspects of product sourcing, purchasing, production and supply functions. In addition, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining effective MRP processes; minimizing inventory investment while ensuring on-time and accurate fulfillment of customer/project orders
• Maintaining effective processes that communicate order fulfillment schedules to all interested parties, including customers and company staff
• Maintaining effective processes for scheduling production staff activities, minimizing required staff FTE’s while ensuring timely availability of product
• Regularly performing cost optimization reviews to ensure lowest available cost is being incurred for all trade product
• Maintaining records that permit serial number tracking of system components provided to customers
• Maintaining records of product specifications as needed to effectively support existing customer installations and their add-on/service requirements
• Providing internal engineering support as needed for custom product/component configurations
• Maintaining effective inventory control processes to include periodic inventory cycle counts, annual physical inventory, and physical loss/theft prevention.

To qualify for this great opportunity, you should have 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing/production and:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• Extensive experience developing and using MRP systems and processes
• Experienced in product and manpower scheduling
• MAS 200 experience
• Effective leadership abilities to include recruiting, training and developing high-performing staff
• High analytical aptitude with strong critical thinking and creative problem resolution skills
• Proactive multi-tasker; resourceful in gathering/using relevant data and information; ability to adapt easily to constantly changing priorities
• Demonstrated initiative in identifying and implementing value-added systems and processes
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Desire to drive results
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to quickly master other software as needed
