**if you are interested pls send resume at or call me at 732-429-1954 Position is with Biogen at Ressearch triangle Park Job Description Operates plant utilities; medium pressure boilers, chillers, glycol system, air compressors, USP water system, water softeners, RO systems, biowaste inactivation, waste neutralization, WFI stills, clean steam generators and compressed air, oxygen, nitrogen, argon and CO2 gas delivery systems. Responds to all alarms outside manufacturing by performing the following duties: a. Operates all utility systems that supply manufacturing. b. Monitors utility systems through the BMS and DeltaV control systems. c. Maintains utility systems and responds to critical alarms. d. Logs readings on various plant equipment systems and investigates when alarms occur. e. Conducts tours through the mechanical spaces to ensure no adverse events have occurred. f. Documents work. g. Supports manufacturing. h. Analyzes water systems. i. Transports Doers/Gas cylinders and hooks up to delivery systems. Problem Solving and Decision Making: Routine:  Investigates equipment failures.  Responds to alarm call request from front desk for equipment systems.  Rotates pumps, boilers and other utility equipment on a routine basis to ensure equal runtimes occur.  Fills waste neutralization chemical systems and CIP chemical systems that serve manufacturing.  Regenerates water softeners.  Receives fuel oil, salt and compressed gas deliveries. Interpretive:  Reacts to loss of electrical power.  Responds to adverse conditions and implements corrective actions to restore equipment and/or utility to normal operation. Creative:  Assesses equipment needs. Qualifications  Practical knowledge of GMP's  Knowledge of BMS system.  Ability to work rotating shifts  Requires excellent oral and written communication skills  Ability to work independently.  Prior experience as a utility operator in a complex pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Education High School Diploma with six (6) years prior industry experience or an Associate of Arts degree with one (1) year of experience or a Bachelor's Degree with no prior experience.
