Employment Specialist (Full Time Position) Please reply to this posting by emailing your cover letter and resume to the email address only. This position posting will close on July 26th. In the email subject line please state "Employment Specialist" Folsom Cordova Community Partnership is dedicated to enhance the education, health and well-being of the children, youth and adults of our community. The Employment Specialist is responsible for providing case management and support to the On The Job Training program, including the following job responsibilities:  Effectively use computer software and general applications to support work development functions  Maintain accurate and timely case files and records  Conduct assessment and evaluation of clients using interviews and assessment tools  Provide ongoing assistance to clients including those with additional needs including but not limited to: Barriers to employment, older workers, limited English speakers, single parents, CALWORKS recipients, emancipating youth, ex-offenders, unemployed and underemployed, etc.  Provide advocacy to clients on their way to self sufficiency  Review customer applications/resumes to match qualifications with employment specifications  Ability to facilitate group meetings, orientations and workshops  Assist clients in using resume preparation software, internet job search tools and automated job match systems  Administer and review the results of vocational and employment-related tests designed to identify skills, aptitudes, and interests of eligible participants.  Assess customer's employment goals and evaluate them in relation to the customer's current transferable or potential skills and their relevance to local labor market conditions  Assess the customer's need for supportive, social and financial services and refer to appropriate resources as needed  Support all aspects of overall agency resource development plans and functions  Collect program data, reports and evaluations and track outcomes for Grant Reports  Participate in agency staff meetings, organizational planning and other agency related functions  Maintain positive working relationships with other departments, deal with conflict in a positive and effective manner MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree or two years experience in employment or social services Minimum one year case management experience, familiarity with preferred Must be at least 18 years old Must be able to legally work in the United States Clearance of FBI/DOJ background check and Motor Vehicle Record check Must possess a valid California Driver's License, possess auto insurance required by CA law and have access to reliable transportation Computer proficient with Windows based systems, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Internet Excellent organization skills, prioritization and follow through Experienced working with culturally diverse and economically diverse populations Ability to maintain healthy boundaries COMPENSATION: Starting at $12.50 per hour plus benefit allocation
