Lead in Production Team

Confidential company has a great opportunity for a leader at our production floor.

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead to join our production team to support a division of our business.

Position Requirements:
•A minimum of 3 years previous supervising experience in a shop type environment for 10 plus employees.
•Minimum of 2 years as a Lead or supervisor in production or construction industry.
•Building a team of employees in the range of 30-40.
•Experience as a commercial electrician is a plus.
•Experience with manufacturing is a major plus.
•Good knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
•Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude.
•Knowledge of sheet metal is a plus.
•Able to work well with others and maintain a professional environment.
•Good written and oral communication skills required.
•Ability to juggle many projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
•Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a must.
•Ability to read blueprint drawings.
•Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
•Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

1.Department and Personal Management
a.Responsible for motivating, training, rewarding and disciplining of personnel.
b.Train all new hires and ensure training is completed.
c.Safety: responsible for safety of department and safety trainings.

2.Project Planning
a.Review and approve quality of work on all stages before handing over to QA.
b.Assign personnel to projects based on work load and capabilities.
c.Ensure that all personnel are always working in a safe manner.
d.Ensure milestone dates and delivery dates are met.

3.Coordinate between departments
a.Work with Engineering team on job concerns and any questions.
b.Coordinate with QA Department.
c.Work with Inventory department to ensure stock levels of materials are being maintained.

4.Areas of Improvement
a.Recommend improvements to increase production and efficiency of department.
b.Recommend assembly equipment or tools to increase production rate.

5.Other projects or assignments given by Management.

Salary: Salary will be competitive and will be based on experience and background as defined above.
