It may be cold outside but you’ll definitely be feeling the heat at The Lark Pub and Grub on Sunday, March 3.
A favorite amongst locals, The Lark Pub and Grub, located at 93 Larkfield Road, East Northport, will be hosting a “Chili Cook Off” to benefit the League for Animal Protection of Huntington, Inc. For a $10 donation at the door, you will be able to treat your taste buds to some of the finest chili to be found, while helping save the lives of homeless cats and dogs. When you start to break out in a sweat, The Lark’s bar, featuring more than 50 craft beers, will be sure to have something to help you cool down and put out the fire. If you’re craving something more than chili, you’ll find delicious options on the full- bar menu. There will also be wonderful raffles available, so don’t forget to take a chance or two!
Says Tim Kelly, owner of The Lark Pub and Grub: “We came up with the idea of doing a chili cook off after attending several other events on the South Shore. They always seemed like one big party because everyone knew each other. Our community is similar and we thought it would work well. Plus, most people have a chili recipe they are proud of. We decided to contact the League for Animal Protection because we are animal lovers, and many of our customers are always sharing stories about their pets. Selecting a local, all-volunteer rescue organization was a ‘no-brainer’, and we are looking forward to working hand-in-hand with LAP and helping them to continue their amazing work”.
The fun starts at 1pm so bring your friends and bring your appetite! See you at The Lark Pub and Grub!
