Surrey Services operates a Thrift Shop in Broomall and is seeking a part-time Manager to oversee business operations with an emphasis on customer service. This manager schedules sales and rotates inventory to maximize sales performance, trains and coordinates volunteers to assure adequate shop coverage, reconciles and deposits daily cash, prices donated items and prepares weekly sales records.
A successful applicant will have previous retail management experience, be able to lift packages up to 20 pounds, and have an understanding of a caring, cooperative and efficient store operation in a volunteer-based environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
This schedule is 15 hours per week Thursday through Saturday. There is a job-sharing aspect where this manager must be willing to fill in during vacations for the other manager.
