Our Medical Center is located in Providence with outpatient clinics located in Middletown, RI, Hyannis and New Bedford, MA. We provide high quality comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care to Veterans residing in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

This Staff Psychiatrist position is located in Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences Service and provides comprehensive mental and behavioral health care to patients with chronic and acute dysfunction. You will analyze and treat a wide variety of psychiatric disorders in Veterans from young adult through geriatric years. Academic opportunities exist to contribute to didactic sessions for Brown Medical School courses and clinical rotations and you will collaborates with the Chief of Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences Service to develop and maintain outpatient clinical rotations which foster the professional development of trainees.

•You must be a US citizen
•Full unrestricted Licensure required (any state)
•Subject to a background/suitability investigation
•Must pass a pre-employment physical examination
•Designated and random drug testing may be required
•Must be proficient in spoken and written English
