Manufacturing Engineer/Cost Estimator Middleburg Heights, Ohio
Are you customer focused? Do you work with a sense of ownership? We’re seeking someone who can work cohesively within our team environment, yet take full responsibility for their project load and work independently. This role is very project specific and you will divide your time among working in the lab, managing projects, providing preliminary CAD work, performing testing and communicating with internal and external team members.
This position focuses on cost estimating and manufacturing engineering projects, which is a critical support function to both Operations and Sales. It is a mixture of high-volume estimating coupled with project opportunities in the area of Operations improvement. In this role, you will be interfacing primarily with Operations and Sales and will partner with outside suppliers on a regular basis. Individuals with lean project experience will be provided ample opportunity to apply its principles within Operations.
The ideal candidate must have a 2-year technical degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with at least three years of experience in manufacturing processes. You must have experience working with customers and understanding their needs. Experience with AutoCAD software for creating, reading and drawing is also required.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry with Lean Manufacturing, SolidWorks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
