Plant Controller Hopkinsville, KY

We’re looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and someone who can help lead the team. Bring us your experience with operating conditions, inventory and production efficiencies.
As our Plant Controller, your key responsibility will be to manage the entire financial function. This includes preparing the annual budget as well as a weekly forecast for Corporate. You will proactively provide continuous improvement ideas relating to both financial and production processes. You will work closely with various departmental managers to ensure they are held accountable for any variances from budget each month. You will also help ensure that all budgeted changes, cost-saving initiatives as well as new or lost business awards are correctly captured.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility for the accounting and finance functions. You must also have proven management experience with at least three direct reports.
Additional qualifications include, cost analysis, forecasting and strong budgeting skills. Plus, you must be a detailed-oriented, critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to multi-task also required. You must have experience working in an AS/400 environment, knowledge of Bill 198 internal control requirements plus advanced computer skills in Excel and Word. Preferred qualifications include master’s degree and experience with CMS or Solarsoft.
