Weld Engineer

Adapts quickly. Strong worker. Business savvy. Does this sound like you? If so, then we encourage you to become our new Weld Engineer. This position is intricate to the future success of our plant. To be successful in this role, you will need a high level of business acumen and welding knowledge.

As the Weld Engineer, you will develop welding standards and parameters for current and new weld operations. Your work will be instrumental in developing cost-effective methods of operation, such as improving quality and meeting specifications—internally and externally.

Additionally, you will need the flexibility to meet changing business needs and the ability to work on the plant floor, performing a range of welding activities.

The ideal candidate must have a degree in Weld Engineering with at least three years of experience. You must also have experience with robotics, automated welding systems and process improvements. You must feel comfortable working on quality issues.

As part of the Advanced Launch Team, you will need to apply your knowledge of weld fixtures, gage design, parameters and processes to help with troubleshooting for new product launches. You must have strong organizational, leadership, analytic and interpersonal skills. You will work directly with clients and play the role of Subject Matter Expert, as it relates to welding.
