VA Maine Healthcare System, located in central Maine, is seeking a B/C or B/E Gastroenterologist for a full time position. S/he must be qualified to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with gastrointestinal diseases according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods and techniques and, there is an opportunity for teaching medical students and residents as Togus is forging alliances with Tufts, Dartmouth, University of New England and University of Vermont Medical Schools. In addition, you’ll experience the sense of patriotism and pride associated with working with veterans.

It's a modern 67-operational bed facility with general medical, surgical, intermediate and mental health beds, as well as 65 Skilled-Longer Stay beds, a 25-bed Dementia Unit, and a Hospice Care Unit. The oldest veterans' facility in the country (est. 1866), much of its 500+ acres is natural woodland habitat for wildlife.
