VA New England Health System Primary Care Physician Lynn, Massachusetts
Bedford VA Medical Center is seeking 2 Full time Board Certified (Board eligible if just out of training) Primary Care Physicians (IM or FP preferred) for our Primary Care Clinic in Lynn, MA. Join a clinical team committed to patient-focused care, open appointment access, and exceptional preventive and chronic disease outcomes. We desire clinicians with an interest or experience with older patients, computerized medical records, working with nurse practitioners, and quality improvement.
As a staff physician in Primary Care, you will be responsible for maintaining professional, technical, and administrative knowledge, competencies, and skills to provide effective, timely and quality responses to patients' health care needs. You will be responsible for the primary care of at least 1200 patients and nine weekly clinic sessions. Your call (phone) will be 3-4 days per month. Allotted time for patient visits is 60 minutes for new patients and 30 minutes for established ones.
All physicians comply with credentialing and privileging and required monitoring and evaluation criteria. The physicians maintain high clinical standards that are carried into decision making processes, and continually strive to maintain and enhance teaching skills to effectively teach residents and students. The physicians comply with current standards for medical documentation and residency supervision. Physicians will achieve the established percentage rate of compliance with the Chronic Disease and Prevention indicators. The physicians will provide appropriate care for veterans ranging in age from 18 through the geriatric years, taking into consideration diagnosis and physical, psychosocial, spiritual and cultural needs.
