As Chief, Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences Service, you will: • Provide oversight of day to day functions and leadership to the staff. The Service consists of 18 physicians and 128 total staff. Service includes an 18-bed inpatient unit and several outpatient sections. • Establish a system of continuous review of professional services and competency of all practitioners and prepare required annual reviews. • Communicate and establish working relationships with affiliates so that requirements of affiliation can be met by all involved parties. • Ensure effective supervision of resident and non-resident trainees. • Participate in medical center Quality Management, Service Excellence activities, prepare and review for JCAHO visits. • Oversee productivity of outpatient clinics and inpatient activity to assure efficient utilization of resources. • Be granted an academic appointment at Brown University.

KEY REQUIREMENTS Strong record of past and current research activity. You must be a US citizen. Full unrestricted Licensure (any state), Certification, or Registration required. Successful candidate must qualify for an appropriate academic appointment at Brown University. Preferred Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
