Production Manager Johnstown, PA
As the Production Manager, you will manage operations in the Repair/Overhaul and assembly of Line Replaceable Units/Remote Weapon Systems by assuring that the department is operated in a high quality and efficient manner using assigned human resources, materials, equipment and operating area. You will oversee all service lines with approximately 30 staff members, which is currently expected to increase to 50 employees. This is a non-union environment with a few Direct Lead Reports.
You will be expected to bring ideas to the table. In this role, you will spend a lot of time in strategic meetings while the remainder of the workday will be spent on the shop floor. This is a great opportunity to work with a progressive organization—Repair/Overhaul is expected to grow through recapitalization of weapon stations and sustainability.
The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with eight years of experience, six of these years being at the Manager level. To qualify, you should have strong leadership skills with experience in manufacturing, assembly and lean manufacturing; the ideal candidate will have a Six Sigma Green Belt. You should also have budgeting experience with ability to track metrics and strong Microsoft Office skills. Any experience with MRP/ ERP systems is desirable. Additional requirements include the ability to conduct presentations, demonstrate technical knowledge and help troubleshoot.
