Instrumentation Technician Amsterdam, NY Your acumen with advanced technology will be relied upon to support the electrical/electronic requirements of our client’s high-speed manufacturing environment. Specifically, you will interface with engineering staff, organize workloads and endeavor to achieve objectives with little to no direction from management and advisees. You will also provide instruction in the operation, set-up, maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of machines and systems. Your mentoring skills will be key in developing junior-level staff. To qualify, you will need an Associate’s degree, along with three to five years’ experience as an instrumentation technician with an emphasis in electrical/electronics. Experience with Allan Bradley tools, PLCs, and HMI servo systems is essential; more advanced skills with Siemens, GE, etc. will be considered, provided the above qualifications are met. While design skills are not required, you should have the ability to modify/update drawings. A recent college grad? No worries, as aptitude and drive to excel in our client’s environment override experience. Please note: this position is for 2nd and 3rd Shifts, only.
