We are in need of three Senior Power Systems Engineers -Transmission & Distribution in Katy TX / Seattle WA / Lowell MA. The salary is 100-120k & relocation is available.
Our Client Company is a global provider of services for managing risk & safeguarding life, property & the environment. They are seeking Senior Power Systems Engineers to expand their capabilities in the performance of interconnection studies for utilities, regional transmission system operators & developers of large scale wind & solar energy projects. Ideal candidates would be current electric utility engineers.
Job Requirements: Required Qualifications • BS degree in electrical engineering with power systems emphasis • 10+ yrs exp. in planning, design &/or operations of electric utility transmission & distribution systems • Familiarity & working knowledge of transmission & distribution planning processes & tools, including power flow, transient stability & short circuit analyses • Working knowledge of utility transmission & distribution system control & protection practices • Extensive professional network in the electric utility &/or power development communities, & ability to leverage same for new business for DNV • Ability/desire to recruit/train/retain staff of engineers • Professional Eng. license
Desired Qualification • Advanced degree in electrical engineering • Working exp. And/or knowledge of PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld Simulator, Synergee & ASPEN OneLiner, similar power system analysis tools, grid interface power electronics, modeling & simulation of drives & converters via EMTP derivatives (e.g., PSCAD or PSIM)
