Category Manager ē $95K-$115K + Bonuses
Northlake, Illinois

Stand at the frontlines of a global leader. Manage highly educated team members. And help navigate the future course of the organization while collaborating with other senior leaders. In this highly visible role, the Category Manager is responsible for a $150M-$200M budget, developing strategic plans, communicating with the group, managing budgets/savings, meeting with suppliers and implementing the project with internal functional teams. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be a self-starter capable of working autonomously and requiring little direction.

Additionally, the ideal candidate must have a bachelorís degree and 15+ years in purchasing/supply chain with experience creating strategies, planning company goals, data mining and analysis. A Masterís degree, CPM certification and exposure in a multi-site environment preferred. Other requirements include demonstrating a proven track record of delivering value to an organization while in a leadership role.

Also, a deep knowledge of the MRO and indirect products and services buy required. The qualified candidate will be strategically focused and able to translate strategy into actionable plans with emphasis on driving execution and championing change. In addition to strategic-thinking, the ideal candidate must be innovative and willing to take entrepreneurial risks to ensure the greatest value is created. The Category Manager must also demonstrate excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills. This position demands the ability to sell initiatives and drive compliance internally. Proficient in MS Office and experience with SAP or other ERP system preferred.
