In this newly created role, the selected individual will have the unique opportunity to create his/her path to success. The Electrical Reliability Technician will provide the basic reliability function of identifying equipment that needs maintenance, found through inspection activities, conducting predictive maintenance analysis or through own observations.
We’re looking for a technically sound individual who will work closely with Reliability Engineers to administer inspections, with the goal of recommending corrective measures prior to equipment failure. Additional responsibilities include: writing and setting up the maintenance standard tasks within Ellipse, assisting with the hierarchy of the ongoing maintenance list, properly coding work orders, participating in root cause analysis, conducting failure investigations and performing post-maintenance testing to establish baseline readings after repairs.
The ideal candidate will have five years of experience, preferably in mining with knowledge of processing equipment; must have Level 2 Certification with two years’ experience using FLIR camera and software, plus creating reports and trending analysis; four-year technical degree or equivalent field experience at the journeyman level in millwright or electrical craft required; bachelor’s degree is a plus.
Before exploring the unlimited growth available here, the selected applicant must commit to establishing this new position for at least three years. Candidate is required to pass drug, aptitude and personality tests, as well as a physical and background check prior to employment. Within two weeks of selection, candidate must be able to pass the ISO Category I Test and then pass the ISO Category II Test within one year. Additional requirements include:
•The ability to work independently as well as within a team •Experience with computers and the ability to utilize Ellipse as well as apply new learned software systems •Must also be able to perform some physical demands •Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, work-order systems and maintenance-monitoring programs preferred •Applying analytical, verbal- and written-communication skills
