JOB SUMMARY:
The Professional Development Specialist is a corporate trainer with curriculum development responsibilities who plays a key role in creating and presenting education tools and solutions to address the employee development needs. This position develops and provides classroom-based, small group, and on-the-job training to enhance technical, customer service, supervisory and other skills important to the organization. Coordinates and leads orientation and other organization-wide events including delivering content; coordinating speakers and materials; managing registration and attendance reporting, ordering food and reserving rooms. Participates as a member of new hire's onboarding team, interacting with organizational leadership. As needed, will create customized programs that will assist employees in attaining position competence. Serves as an education resource on various committees. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently without supervision and acts as a role model in keeping with the behavior standards, with the proven capacity to handle sensitive matters with diplomacy and tact and with the highest integrity. Creates e-learning modules as assigned and manages special projects Must have the ability to organize work while responding to changing demands.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience as Corporate Trainer with an undergraduate degree in business, communications, education, healthcare or willingness to complete degree required. Master's Degree in Adult Education, Nursing Education, Healthcare Administration preferred. Evidence of Continuing Education. Must have three (3) years of progressive and relevant experience.. Must have excellent communication skills along with the ability to instruct, direct, guide, supervise, and evaluate. Adult education experience preferred. Trainer and curriculum development experience, e-learning experience helpful, soft skills training in healthcare environment.
