Electrical Maintenance Supervisor • $68K-$85K + Relocation Package Ashland, KY
You enjoy that challenge that comes with troubleshooting equipment and minimizing the impact on operations. You are wired to think of ways to save time and money so that outages are completed successfully. And you can do it all with limited manpower. If this sounds like you, then we encourage you to join this leading steel manufacturer as their new Electrical Maintenance Supervisor.
In this position, you will make key decisions on manpower needs and provide valuable input into planning outages. You will have the authority to select vendors and purchase equipment. The successful candidate will collaborate with the section manager, other maintenance supervisors, project engineers, contractors, operations management and maintenance planners. The key responsibility is to direct the electrical maintenance of and perform upgrades, troubleshoot and handle refurbishments for electronic equipment in specified areas. This position is also responsible for implementing the company’s Safety Program and giving consideration to cost.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-5 years of heavy industrial maintenance experience with formal training in Electromechanical Technology or Electrical Engineering and general knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering. The qualified candidate should know how to operate overhead cranes and drive systems, and must also be very knowledgeable of Programmable Logic Controllers. Additionally, this candidate must be an assertive team player that has a high priority for safety standards and possess excellent communication and leadership skills, while remaining flexible and calm under pressure in a fast-paced industrial environment.
