Thompson & Johnson is looking for a skilled, energetic, positive and motivated person to join our team as Branch Manager in our Albany location. Candidate must have organizational & leadership skills along with very good analytical & personnel skills to grow a dynamic business, as a multi-line dealership representing the top lines in our industry. Previous experience overseeing Part’s, Rental, and Service Dept’s in the industry is critical along with assisting the Sales Dept. Candidate must be able to manage the branch both internally and externally, ensuring consistent quality and efficient customer service and satisfaction to promote efficiency and productivity while meeting or exceeding the company’s sales goals.

• Associate’s degree in business, management or related field and three years of customer service experience required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have at the time of hire, and maintain throughout employment, a valid NYS drivers’ license free of major infractions.
• Three to five year’s managerial experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Forklift certification desirable.


• Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.
• Knowledge of specified products and/or services offered.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports.
• Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.
• Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics and reports.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work beyond normal or scheduled work hours on a regular basis.
