Programmer for Turning department. 65-85k Holyoke MA Relo considered MCPjls

Our Client Company as a contract manufacturer of precision-machined components, provide their customers with medical implants, orthopedic instruments and medical devices. The medical segments they serve include spine, orthopedic, extremities, dental, endoscopy, and more. They currently have an opportunity for a Programmer for Turning department.

The duties of this position include a wide variety of responsibilities and authorities in the area of technical support to CNC Multi Axis Swiss Type Screw Machines and CNC Turning Centers. This includes supervision, training, programming, processing, setting-up, and, if necessary, hands-on operating.

Essential Job Functions and Minimum Requirements:

1. Five (5) years CNC turning center and/or Swiss Screw Machining set-up and operating experience.

2. Capability to teach the reading and understanding of technical drawings, and provide written and verbal instructions to perform technical work and operate CNC turning centers and Swiss Screw Machines.

3. Capability to teach the use of inspection tools (like height gauge, optical comparators, thread gauges, plug gauges, micrometers, verniers, indicators, etc.) and check in process work for adherence to certain specification and complete written inspection reports.

4. Capable of following FDAS 21CF, part 820, QSR

5. Capable to teach the set-up and operation CNC turning centers and Swiss Screw Machines.

6. Ability to stand in front of machines for extended period of times and move freely from one machine to another.

7. Capable of lifting a minimum of 20 lbs without the use of lifting devices.

8. Capable to teach others of how to operate more than one machine at one time.

9. Capable to move part bins freely from one work station to another.

10. Adequate vision to perform all duties (corrective lenses are acceptable).

11. Sufficient hearing to distinguish unusual machine noises indicating machining difficulties.

12. Capable of completing written reports regarding hours worked, jobs worked on, operations completed.

13. Capable of teaching others the counting of parts and how to correctly perform arithmetic and trigonometry.

14. Must be able to teach others the normal CNC requirements such as program editing, inspection techniques, shop math, etc.

15. Must have the knowledge in making all type of set-ups and working with FANUC or Mitsubishi controls.
