Our client specializes in offloading foreign crude oil from tankers, storing crude oil, and transporting crude oil via connecting pipelines to refineries throughout the Gulf Coast and Midwest. Located in the Gulf of Mexico, in 110 feet of water, they are the only port in the U.S. capable of offloading deep-draft tankers known as Ultra Large Crude Carriers (ULCC) and Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC). However, they also offload smaller tankers. Currently, our client seeks an experienced professional for the following position:

Maintenance Engineer
Galliano, LA
As Maintenance Engineer your primary responsibilities will include identifying and supporting the implementation of predictive technology, evaluating condition-monitoring data, the development of equipment maintenance plans and preventive maintenance procedures. Your participation as adviser in the project management/engineering processes will ensure reliability concerns are addressed and fully supported. You will also inspect new installations and equipment at vendor sites to identify and remedy possible reliability issues.
Successful candidates must have significant experience in Electrical or Mechanical Systems and a minimum of five (5) years’ field experience in the petroleum pipeline or refinery industry. A working knowledge of Reliability Center Maintenance (RCM), Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) is desired. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and/or Society of Maintenance Reliability Professionals certification (CMRP) is preferred.
