Our client company built the foundation for what has grown to become one of the largest private, multispecialty group practices in the United States. They currently have an opportunity for Nurse Practitioner – Orthopedic Spine Surgery. The nurse practitioner is a skilled member of the allied health care team who provides services in a collaborative relationship with a licensed physician. There will not be on-call with this position and the schedule will be weekdays 8am to 5pm - no weekends or holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. 2. Perform patient evaluations and devise a patient care plan in collaboration with the physician during clinic office hours. 3. Perform and dictate history and physical examinations.

Qualifications: A) Education: (Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic) Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. B) License/Certification: Must have and maintain a valid, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin. Become certified by a national certifying body approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing. Must have and maintain a current, valid APNP certificate granted by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing. C) Experience: One to two years experience in Orthopedic Spine patient care as physician assistant or nurse preferred. Must have ability to perform physical assessments and history taking. Must be skilled in patient education techniques and have the ability to communicate well with patients and staff. D) Exclusion from Federal Programs: Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Clinic’s Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program.
