Take Your Career on the Open Road

McIlvaine is an asset-based transportation carrier that has been in business for more than 50 years. We specialize in transporting dry van freight and bulk shipments of propane, asphalt, and chemicals. Being an ESOP-based company, each employee is dedicated to making our business the best it can be, through delivering the highest-quality service every time. Our motto, “Consider it Done,” is a way of life for all McIlvaine Trucking employees. We currently have several Driver positions available involving no-touch freight and, predominantly, drop and hook.

Van and Tank Drivers
Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and New York
As one of our Van Drivers, you would be on the road for approximately seven to ten days, traveling regionally for the most part. Tank Drivers should plan on three to five days out (with a 34-hour rest in between), traveling along routes throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and New York. Tank Drivers will need to be able to load and unload occasionally, and manage a 50-lb. hose. Both positions require that you be at least 25 years of age, have a valid Class-A CDL issued in the state where you reside, and a minimum of two years’ Class-A tractor/trailer experience. A clean driving record that’s free of serious disqualifying traffic violations within the past three years is a must. All applicants will subject to employment verification and a background check. Tank Driver applicants will need at least one year of liquid tank experience, Tank and hazmat endorsements and TWIC.

Aside from great pay (including orientation, meals and lodging and extra pay for detention or layovers), you’ll be taken care of with generous employee benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance, an HSA (Health Savings Account), company-paid individual Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Accidental Death and Dismemberment policies. But most of all, because everyone knows each other by name, and enjoys a great sense of camaraderie, you’ll feel like part of one, big, happy family here at McIlvaine Trucking.

So, gentlemen (and ladies), start your engines!
McIlvaine Trucking is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
