Are you a Civil Engineer with experience supporting the Air Force? Are you familiar with FSRM programming? Do you have extensive experience in the design of facilities projects?
Responsibilities • To assist HQ AFRC/A7 and Base Civil Engineers with management of facility and infrastructure Sustainment, Restoration, Modernization (SRM); Minor Construction; and Military Construction (MILCON) projects for the US Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC). • Duties o Plan, program, and award SRM projects. o Review status of the command's SRM and MILCON programs. o Contact AFRC host and tenant wings to review and update project status; interface with host installation Civil Engineers in the case of tenant Reserve Wings. o Manage the programming, design, and contracting status of every project with the goals of meeting execution timelines. o Brief AFRC leadership on program status. • Tasks o Plan, program, and award SRM projects. o Develop programming documents (1391s). o Write Statements of Work (SOW). o Prepare projects for contract solicitation. o Assist AFRC with preparing government cost estimates. o Evaluate contract proposals and assisting with construction contract negotiations. o Review A-E designs. o Assist the base civil engineer with construction management activities. o Input project data in the ACES system.
Requirements • At least 10 years of civil Engineering experience. • Previous Civil Engineering experience with/for the USAF. • At least a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
General Information • The end client is the United States Air Force Reserve Command (US AFRC). • This is a 1-year contract with the possibility to extend longer. • This is a W2 employment opportunity. • A comprehensive benefits package is available. • Compensation will commensurate with experience.
