Environmental Construction PM (Option to work remotely)
St. Paul, MN (position can be worked remotely from home office if located within the contiguous USA or Washington DC)

Are you a Project Manager with knowledge in subsurface investigations? Do you have a strong environmental background? Do you have experience working in Emergency Response? Are you well versed in estimations and proposals? Do you prefer more hands on work? Do you like the option of working remotely from home?

- Reports to the VP of Operations
- Preparation of successful estimates, bids and proposals and management of projects from bid to completion.
- Provide support for various projects related to environmental investigation, environmental construction, deconstruction, environmental dredging and remediation of contaminated air, soil, sediment and water.
- Provide overall planning, pursuit, and efficient and cost effective execution of an array of environmental construction, dredging and remediation projects.
- Assist with the management and performance all assigned projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with project and contract documents.
- Understand and comply with Bay West’s corporate and project specific health and safety plans and procedures.
- Accurately interpret and apply knowledge of environmental regulations to varied investigation and remediation projects.
- Accurately prepare project plans, proposals, feasibility studies, designs, specifications, reports and cost estimates for various environmental construction, dredging and remediation projects and business development/marketing efforts.
- Effectively lead, manage, assign, and schedule work for individual groups, work crews and technical staff to complete a task or project in a timely and efficient manner.
- Demonstrate ability to be an effective leader and role model for peers and team members by setting and assisting employees in meeting individual and group goals.
- Assure appropriate resolution of conflicts, accept responsibility for decision making, follow through on all commitments, and utilize internal and external resources appropriately.

- Practice open communication and cooperation to achieve common understanding with team members of similar and other disciplines.
- Actively pursue new business/customer development opportunities, and work with existing customers to maximize current and future sales opportunities.
- Complete essential paperwork i.e., performance reviews, time cards, utilization and daily reports in a timely and proper manner.
- Perform Accounts Receivable calls in a timely fashion.
- Assist with “out the door” Emergency Response (ER) activities including determining ER equipment needs, loading ER equipment in an efficient and correct manner, and performing in clean-up activities as directed by the ER site supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, both orally and in writing, in a courteous and professional manner of all project issues, and observed or perceived health, safety or other work conditions.
- Communicate directly with Vice President, Operations, Site Supervisors and Team Managers on ways to improve Bay West techniques, operations and functions.
- Comply with all safety, employee, and HR policies, procedures and practices.

- Project management experience in subsurface investigations extensive knowledge of state and federal regulations and reporting requirements and/or (2) yrs experience managing federal environmental construction, dredging remediation and/or UXO/MEC projects under the DoD and/or EPA (including AFCEE, USACE, US EPA, NAVFAC).
- Proposal writing and estimating skills.
- 10+ years of experience
- Professional environmental/engineering registrations, such as CHMM, PE, or PG, are a plus.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training is required.
- BS or BA in Geology, Engineering, Construction or a related field.
- Masters level degree is a plus.
- Out-of-town travel is required.

Compensation will commensurate with experience.
