** This is a new position. We need someone local or close with logistics and production planning, APICS Certification or solid experience with APICS.
Search For: production planning, forecast planning, manufacturing environment, APICS, logistic planning, SAP, ERP, MRP, WMS, TMS. Successful candidate will have an education in or real world experience in production and/or forecast planning in a manufacturing environment. Day to day activities include forecasting finished goods requirements and monitoring inventory levels for material manufactured and imported. Other specifics include: Support planning of manufactured goods in manufacturing plants overseas. Track the finished goods from overseas to the warehousing in the US Track the forecast based on inventory levels and customer orders Communicate inventory positions to customers and brokers and production colleagues Communicate with upper management on inventory levels to alert issues in supply to customers Plan production lines for manufacturing in local US plant based on forecasts and incoming customer orders Plan production based on timing of raw material receipts and other constraints Communicate production plan to production department and top management Participate in a weekly Supply chain meeting Participate in a daily production meeting Perform other duties as defined by the Director of Supply chain. Interact on a daily basis to develop and implement cost saving/cutting measures in all areas of Supply Chain Qualifications include: 3 years background in logistic planning 5 years experience in production planning Preferred 3 years experience with SAP and/or experience with ERP, MRP, WMS or TMS systems. 2 years experience forecasting inventory levels based on customer demand Demonstrate successes in a collaborative team environment Be self motivated Be very detailed oriented
Education and Certifications: Background in APICS; certification is preferred Minimum 2 year degree with 4 year degree preferred (years of relevant experience may be substituted for the degree)
Software: Perform at an intermediate user level of excel in order to perform data mining and reporting Good application skills using Microsoft office, word, PowerPoint and outlook.
