Position Title: Sourcing Manager Capital Equipment - OH
Salary Range: $90K - $105k + bonuses targeted at 20%

Principal Functions The Sourcing Manager will lead Supply Chain capital equipment strategic sourcing initiatives, which includes negotiation of new agreements and implementation/management of existing long term global alliance agreements. The Sourcing Manager will work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify solutions that support operational requirements while reducing Total Cost of Ownership. Emphasis will be placed on identifying opportunities and mitigating risk around company's growth strategy.
. Effectively manage heavy mining alliance agreements to support operations, to ensure all contractual terms are followed, and to take advantage of opportunities built into the agreements . Mitigate equipment supply risk for existing, planned and potential business ventures by ensuring short and long-term capital requirements, manufacturer lead-times, and the internal RFA process are well coordinated and clearly communicated . Negotiate major project and construction initiatives and performance based contracts to support future growth . Execute capital expenditure decisions in a coordinated process with cross-functional collaboration . Assist in the development and/or improvement of capital procurement program, processes, policies, and procedures . Collaborate with Environmental and Sustainability groups to ensure emerging environmental regulations are met, and that corporate sustainability core values are considered for all sourcing initiatives . Facilitate and lead the collection of budgetary quotations for capital equipment and services for inclusion into budget and capital plans and or upon user requests . Develop capital priorities, opportunities, and recommendations for inclusion into annual sourcing plans and for the purpose of allocating sourcing and/or purchasing resources . Lead development of business and commercial requirements, specifications, supply chain objectives, sourcing criteria, market and supplier evaluations, and proposal evaluations for major capital projects . Develop written plans for negotiations, emphasizing detail preparation and innovative approaches . Be knowledgeable of trends in market structures and supply constraints along with tracking commodity cost drivers. Forecast business conditions while dealing with longer term issues in an environment of risk and uncertainty . Assess supply market conditions by analyzing the buyer community, supplier community, internal competition and barriers to entry and substitute products. Apply industry analysis in conjunction with knowledge of the commodity to assist in the development of sourcing strategies . Lead sourcing efforts for higher dollar capital projects through collaboration with technical group to meet operational requirements while focusing on reducing the Total Cost of Ownership TCO) on an Net Present Value(NPV) basis . Proactively identify and recommend alternative sources of supply (general supply vs. OEM) to reduce operating costs, lead-times, and support corporate cost savings targets . Apply policies and procedures to ensure that all sourcing activities comply with company and regulatory directives as well as ensuring compliance with sound contract management and sourcing processes
. Build and maintain relationships with internal customers and ensure delivery in accordance with agreed upon terms . Lead supplier qualification and measurement for capital responsibilities . Communicate vendor selection decisions to impacted employees, their leaders, and Suppliers. Effectively communicate the impact of sourcing decisions to management and employees as appropriate. . Assist in developing, implementing and communicating company-wide procurement strategy . Monitor and analyze performance metrics for both vendors and internal customers within the category groups to develop and implement improvement plans . Develop and track global procurement metrics including areas of spend analytics, benefits capture, requisition to payment process, operational efficiencies, and supplier performance and compare to industry benchmarks
Education Needed .Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (Required) .MBA in Business, Finance, or related field (Preferred) .Supply Chain or Procurement Certification Preferred (C.P.M., C.P.S.M, CIRM, CPIM)
Experience Needed .5 to 10 years professional experience in procurement, engineering, or supply chain management .Experience in mining or other heavy industry is preferred .Experience in negotiating and managing large contracts
